    I have been looking for these holidays since January 1, 2009. Luckily, I saw it today at Technogra.ph and was able to verify it via RP’s Website!

    Malacanang announced today the working and non-working holidays for 2009, which was stated in Proclamation 1699, signed by President GMA last December 24, 2008.

    1.        Regular Holidays

    ·          Maundy Thursday         - April 9

    ·          Good Friday                       - April 10

    ·          Araw ng Kagitingan      - April 6 (Monday)

    o Monday nearest to April 9

    ·          Labor Day                          - May 1 (Friday)

    ·          Independence Day            - June 12 (Friday)

    ·          National Heroes Day        - August 31 (Monday)

    o Last Monday of August

    ·          Bonifacio Day                      - November 30 (Monday)

    ·          Christmas Day                     - December 25 (Friday)

    ·          Rizal Day                         - December 30 (Wednesday)

    2.        Special, Non-Working (NW) Holidays

    ·          Ninoy Aquino Day         - August 21 (Friday)

    ·          All Saints Day                     - November 1 (Sunday)

    ·          Additional NW Day       - November 2 (Monday)

    ·          Additional NW Day       - December 24 (Thursday)

    ·          Additional NW Day       - December 31 (Thursday)

    As for the celebration of Eid’l Fitr (end of Ramadan), President Arroyo said the holiday will be based from the Islamic calendar or the lunar calendar and will be identified by the Office on Muslim Affairs.
